The Teller serves as a storage for all of the user’s funds, while Handler only has access to the funds that users wish to transact. Should the Handler have access to all of user’s funds, a single exploit could potentially cause bulk of the funds to be lost. Thus, this segregation of roles helps to increase the robustness of Nocturne’s security.
